Dad, today is your 102nd birthday. I have felt exceptionally sad all day, that you aren't here with all your family to celebrate. I have been thinking about how you and I became so much closer during the last 10 or so years of your life. You told me things which I'd never known about. You apologised to me for the things you felt that I had missed out on in my life, because you and mum had prioritised other things instead. I understood and have always loved you both so much, and always will. Happy Birthday My Darling Dad. Untill we are together again. All my love Eileen XXX
